Groups and agents

Montserrat is a major destination for all types of groups and social collectives and the rack railway is, without a doubt, the option of choice to reach it.

There are trains provided with a carrying capacity of 200 passengers and with a departure frequency of every 20 minutes most of the year round.

All groups and travel agents offer rates with special discounts.

In order to qualify for these discounts group sizes need to be a minimum of 20 and prior reservation is needed.
 

Schools

Montserrat has a wide range of facilities to carry out educational and/or leisure activities tailored to all learning stages.

At the same time arriving via the rack railway makes it possible to offer pupils the chance to travel on a singular means of transport, practically unique in Spain.

For those in the final stage of primary school and for secondary school students we offer an activity that teaches pupils, from a technological viewpoint, about different kinds of transport: rack and funicular railways.

This activity is backed up by support materials for pupils.
