Montserrat Rack Railway and Sant Joan Funicular will reopen on weekends from next Friday, December 18, coinciding with the relaxation of the confinement that will become regional (from 6.00 a.m. on Friday to 6.00 a.m. on Monday). For its part, Santa Cova Funicular will remain out of service until 2021.
Since October 30, both Montserrat Rack Railway and Funiculars have been out of service from Friday to Sunday, in accordance with PROCICAT measures.
Montserrat Rack Railway will make the first ascent from Monistrol Vila at 9:55 a.m. and the last descent will be at 4:55 p.m. on weekdays. On weekends, the first ascemt will be at 8:55 a.m. and the last descent will be at 6:15 p.m.
Sant Joan Funicular will be open from 10 a.m. (first ascent) to 4:45 p.m. (last descent), from Monday to Sunday. On weekdays, the frequency of passage will be every half hour; while on weekends, it will be every 15 minutes.
Special service on Christmas day
On December 25, the Montserrat Rack Railway will offer a special service. The first ascent from Monistrol Vila will be at 8.55 a.m. and the last descent will be at 1:55 p.m. The Sant Joan Funicular will not offer service.
