Tickets for the Sant Joan and Santa Cova de Montserrat Funiculars
With the Funiculars you will enjoy the best panoramic views of the mountain and the monastery from a bird's eye view!
From the new viewpoint of Sant Joan, which is located at an altitude of 1,000 meters above sea level, you can enjoy incomparable views and it allows you a perfect observation of the unusual shape of the mountain. On the other hand, the Santa Cova funicular connects the sanctuary with the cave, the troglodyte chapel attached to the rock where, according to legend, some shepherds found the image of the Virgin of Montserrat. With the funicular, you will arrive at the place where the visitors can see the Rosari Monumental, the most important group of outdoor sculptures in Catalan Modernism, with pieces by Antoni Gaudí and Josep Llimona, among others.
Due to the exceptional measures because of the COVID-19, it is compulsory to reserve a time to get on and off at the Funiculars in order to guarantee these security measures.
